A Week of Arting

First off, Kitty Wings. Just haven't drawn her in too long.

And this is what happens when I don't do art for for a few years..............................wow. 

Vent arts, Koishii bearing up the brunt of all the pain, injustice, and misery. It wasn't as bad this week, but still needed to let some stuff out. It actualy felt pretty good.

And  then we have a finished Canvas painting I pretty much went all out on. It was for a friend who had a stroke.

2012 - the year of Koi

Remember I siad I wanted to do more Koi?

This one was a gift for my dentist. Complete with metalic paint.

I have this plan of doing a line of carousel sea animals. The Orca was the first one to start.

More 2012 lines

A little bit of everything from 2012

First off, emo vent art. Defiantly needed the vent. Haven't been THAT miserable in a long while. So Koi with a malformation virus.

Koishii as a traditional dragon. I need longer sketchbooks.

One of my friends as a dragon. I thought the name Exorant fit pretty well.

Kitty wings in a more heraldic style of lines. Her tail is WAY to short, and now that I look at it......it's just wierd.

One of my Dravins with scales.

And random stress doodle from a while ago. All ball point pen, done in the car.

An idea I want to color. Flare looking out at the falling rain from Raven's cave.

And lines for my Arien. I still need a good ref for them.

2012 Traditionals

On the other hand, 2012 was awesome for traditional arts. I went to town on quite a few things.

First one is some vent art. Just getting out excess emotions. Koi just soaking in her emotional state of mind.

Koko anthro ref lines...that I am not so happy with now.

Cute nessy lake monster. Was going to be for a contest....but I rand out of steam. I still like it and it is on the list for colors.

Random Koi inks. Still wanting to do more Koi fish things.

2011 digitals

This was just a sad year. I half-moron tired to get back into digital. These are from 2011. I'm happy with them, but I could have painted much more in one year.

So the first one was a contest pieces, always good for motivation. I really loved doing it and how it turned out. I should draw these two again in different settings.

Speed paint, just some quick sketchy practice, and trying to get into random creature designs.

More sketchy practice. The goal was to do this once a week or day in the morning=fail+more fail.

Then I tried offering sketches of other peoples characters. It worked out for a little while. Can't remember who this guy belongs too, but he isn;t mine. He was awesome to draw though!

Another DA contest. Part digital, part traditional. It was ok.

And Spacerouge's awesome alien! Aiko always has awesome stuff.

Beginning of Digital kickstart

These are from 2012. By the end of the year, started getting out of my art slump.

First one was just random. I hadn't done any innovative creatures in a while. So time to get back into free flow idea painting.

Sad Koko for some vent art. It's that sadness that hurts but feels...comfortable at the same time. And I am forever forgetting to draw her horns..

This pretty much was my digital kickstart. I was going to sleep one night and as things went hazy, the sillohuet of one of my dragon plushies hanging from the cieling looked like an awesome creature. After sketching it out on paper some, I decided it would be the perfect subject to exercise my rusty digital skills.
